Discussion on Lightweight Vehicle Programs: SYNEXXUS to Sponsor
New York, NY, October 24, 2008 - SYNEXXUS announces sponsorship with IDGA's Light Armored Vehicles and Stryker Summit, taking place November 17 - 20, 2008, in Vienna, Virginia.
IDGA's goal with the LAV and Stryker Summit is to bring together thought leaders to share best practices, enable new relationships, and most importantly, aid the Warfighter as he completes his mission and returns home safely. The three-day event includes a Vehicle IT Focus Day, two days of the main summit, and a post-summit day of workshops.
"LAVs and Strykers are essential to the completion of tactical military operations around the world," says program director Kristine Ortiz-Cortes. "Current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan have not only been about joint efforts between military services, but also about partnerships between military and industry stakeholders."
Seeing the consistent advancement of military capabilities and technologies, IDGA planned this event with the idea that a well-developed lightweight vehicle program is critical to mission success. The speaker faculty is comprised of industry experts, including:
- BG Peter Fuller, USA, Deputy Commanding General, RDECOM
- Col Michael Micucci, USMC, LAV Program Manager, TACOM, MARCOSYSCOM
- Col Robert W. Schumitz, USA, Project Manager, Stryker Brigade Combat Team
- LTC Charles Stein, USA, Product Manager, Ground Combat Tactical Trainers, PEO-STRI
- David K. Hansen, Deputy Program Manager, Joint MRAP Vehicle Program, USMC
