CHIEF ENGINEER AND STRATEGIST
Mr. Hurley joined SYNEXXUS in 2013 as Chief Engineer and Strategist, leading an exceptional team of hardware and software engineers in developing new capabilities for our customers. Mr. Hurley has spent his career leading technically complex programs with diverse teams in technology areas ranging from moon mapping to military radio communications. His experience includes research and development as well as operational programs. He has been a Section Head at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C., and the Executing Principle Investigator for one of the Office of Naval Research’s first Innovative Naval Prototypes. For the Office of Secretary of Defense, Mr. Hurley provided strategic planning and program execution; in 2005 he received the Department of Defense, Civilian Meritorious Medal. Mr. Hurley is an engineering graduate of Virginia Tech, an MBA graduate of George Mason University, and holds his Professional Engineering license in the state of Virginia. He is a LEED Accredited Professional in green building with Building Design and Construction specialty. He has also completed the Navy Corporate Business Course at the Navy’s Center for Executive Education. Mr. Hurley serves on the Board of Directors (BOD) for the NRL Federal Credit Union as well as for the Virginia Tech’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
