PHOENEX BIODIESEL Awarded Defense Contract to Deliver Biodiesel
ARLINGTON, VA, May 22nd, 2008 - Phoenex Biodiesel Inc has received a direct purchase order from the Defense Energy Supply Center, a division within Defense Logistics Agency, to deliver a 20% mixture of biodiesel (B20) with Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel to Fort Detrick, Maryland. Contract values were not disclosed.

Currently headquartered in Arlington, Va., Phoenex Biodiesel is a service disabled veteran owned small business. Phoenex Biodiesel is positioned to become the leading producer of biodiesel in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Its initial facility will be a 30 million gallon per year (MGY) nameplate capacity plant located in Maryland.
The Company intends for its initial facility to commence operations by the first quarter of 2009. A second production line is expected to be constructed and commence operations by the end of 2009.
